Tabby - Katie - Medium - Adult - Female - Cat
Katie is a 6 year old calico from Mishawaka, Indiana. Unfortunately, she and her sister Sketty need a new home because their owner's landlord is forcing her to get rid of them by mid October. If we can't find them a home soon these lovely cats AND their owner are facing homelessness! Please help.
Katie, a short haired tabby-ish calico, and Sketty, a long haired fluffy calico, and are litter-mates and have never been apart from each other. They spend most of their time together. If at all possible, we would highly prefer them to be adopted together. Both girls are spayed and their vaccinations are current. They have their claws, but are very good about using their scratching post and do not scratch furniture. They get along well with other cats, and with relaxed dogs, and even ferrets! (Ferret pictured isn't up for adoption.) They have never spent time around young children, but they are both quite relaxed and would probably enjoy the attention! Both girls can be a little shy at first, but when they get to know you, they'd love to lie in bed with you, or sit in your lap, and purr purr purr!
Katie is very small for her age and looks like a kitten. Sketty is a little bit overweight (she prefers to think of herself as a big beautiful woman!) but both cats are in tip top health. They prefer soft food, and they snack on dry food. They love catnip and toys, especially toys with feathers! Their favorite thing to do, however, is play with each other. They are both pretty active. Sketty loves beautiful things. For example, she ADORES the Christmas tree. Never fear, she won't knock it over- she just likes to stare at the pretty lights! Katie enjoys watching television with her owner. She has a bit of a mouth on her, and likes to meow her commentary to her favorite shows! Both girls need to be brushed regularly, especially Sketty with her luxurious long hair.
Please help adopt these sweet, beautiful cats. It breaks our heart to see them go, but we know they will make someone very happy. They are in dire need of a new home as soon as possible, as mentioned they are facing eviction! Transportation is not a problem. If necessary, we are willing to transport them pretty much anywhere, at our expense, but would prefer to stay within the midwest if at all possible, just to make the trip easier on the girls. If they cannot be adopted together that is ok, but we would really prefer not to seperate them. Free to good home with solid veterinary reference. Transport is available within the mid-west area.
